Hand-Painted Aqua and Opal
Cabochon "Museum" Earrings
These doorknocker-style earrings
remind me of the ancient Etruscan reproduction jewelry that were popular in
New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art gift shop when I was a girl.
I think they have a very upscale look without being flashy or sparkly. Great
daytime/office earrings that will continue to look good later in the day,
whether you're going out to dinner or to a concert or the theatre.
I hand painted the clip
back vintage gold-plated castings, stippling the paint to give an aged look.
The vintage glass opal cabochons have much more of a rainbow sparkle to them
in person.
These measure
approximately 2" long.
$68.00 the pair.
